As of April 1, 2019, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Counselling, Kinesiology and Physiotherapy will be fully covered by ICBC, and for Registered Massage Therapy there will be a nominal fee. In the first 12 weeks from the date of the accident, patients are allowed 12 Acupuncture, 25 Chiropractic, 12 Counselling, 12 Kinesiology, 25 Physiotherapy and 12 RMT treatments without the need of a doctor’s referral. MVAs before April 1, 2019, will continue to finish their allotted treatments. If a patient requires treatment beyond the visit limit or if additional programs or services are required, the patient must consult with a physician to obtain a new doctor’s referral.
